Senate Judiciary Committee approves Kagan as a judge of the Supreme Court.
Washington, July 20 .- The Judicial Committee of the U.S. Senate has cleared the appointment of Elena Kagan as the next justice of the Supreme Court, paving the way for final confirmation at the plenary session of the Upper House for tenure.
The vote, 13-6, including the "yes" Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, the only one of the seven Republican Committee.
